A Year to Treasure, Us Together

A firework pops! It all begins – the sparkle that a new year brings.

The wonder that the old one’s done, the fizz of everything to come.

I turn to thank the stars above for you and me and us and love

and all the times that we’ll remember, January through December.

From New Year’s Eve, starting school, Lunar New Year, Easter, NAIDOC Week and Book Week to birthdays, Diwali, Halloween, Channukah, Christmas and back to New Year, this is an absolutely joyous celebration of … celebration. With illustrations full of exploding colour from newcomer Tete Garcia.
