CD – Om Gurudev

OM GURUDEV DARBARI RAGA

Chanting with Gurumayi Chidvilasananda

Om Gurudev was recorded live on the auspicious occasion of the July full moon, 2001. This sacred day of Guru Purnima is traditionally set aside to honor the grace-bestowing power of the Guru.

Beginning with a beautiful choral introduction, the chant ebbs and flows in waves of pure sound, evoking the experience of being engulfed in an ocean of deep inner stillness and devotion.

Om Gurudev is chanted in the Darbari Rag a majestic tonal framework that inspires feelings of longing for God.
