Jumping Jack

Garry Jack, legendary fullback for Balmain and Australia, shares his story for the first time in a compelling autobiography filled with heart, humour, and hard knocks. From his rise through the ranks of rugby league to his starring role in the epic 1989 grand final, Garry reflects on the highs and lows of a career shaped by resilience and passion. He lifts the lid on iconic moments in footy history – including the first NSW Origin series win, his legal battle with Ian Roberts, and his relationship with coach Alan Jones – while also revealing the man behind the headlines, from his famously frugal ways to the day he survived a cardiac arrest. A gripping read from one of the game’s greats written with sports journalist and broadcaster, Adam Hawse.
