Tinkertown, U.S.A.

Inside every kid in Dayton, Ohio, lives a spirit passed down from generations of tinkerers . . .

When young Tink sets sail on his hand-crafted boat, bad weather leaves him stranded in Dayton, Ohio, an exciting town home to many tinkerers. But Tink isn’t left wandering for long–he meets new friends who teach him the history of the town, encourage him to embrace his love of tinkering, and remind him to never give up. As he learns about the amazing inventions and developments from characters like the Wright brothers and Charles Kettering, Tink realizes what it is that makes Dayton special–its unique spirit of perseverance, innovation, and ambition.

From poetry to airplanes to motor cars, Tink’s journey through the city shows him that anything is possible with imagination and determination. A beautiful tribute to the city of Dayton, Shane Connor’s Tinkertown, U.S.A. showcases the power of talented minds and reminds us that we, too, can create change and bring our greatest dreams to life.
